About the Role
The Treasurer will manage the Bankโs funding, capital, and risks. The job is important because every decision affects how DBN supports Namibiaโs development projects.
Main Duties
The Treasurer will plan and manage the Bankโs finances. This includes getting funds, issuing bonds, and planning cash flow. The job also means investing the Bankโs money wisely and watching risks like interest rates and currency changes.
The Treasurer will also guide debt structuring, loan pricing, and credit ratings. They will ensure the Bank has enough funding for new projects and long-term growth.
Leadership
This is also a leadership role. The Treasurer will lead a team, set goals, and ensure high performance. Coaching and mentoring staff will be part of the job.
Requirements
Applicants must have a postgraduate degree (NQF level 8). Extra studies like CA, CFA, ACI, FRM, or MBA are highly preferred.
You need 10 years of banking or finance experience, with 5 years leading a treasury team. You also need to understand capital markets, debt management, and liquidity planning.
