About the Municipality
Otjiwarongoโs goal is to become a smart city that offers growth and good services to its people. The Municipality works to serve the community in an efficient and fair way.
Job Purpose
The job is about planning and managing public works in the town. This includes building and looking after roads, water systems, sewage systems, and other municipal facilities.
Main Duties
The executive will handle infrastructure and technical services. This includes water supply, sewage systems, roads, pavements, and town planning. The role also covers looking after municipal buildings, workshops, machinery, and managing the department budget.
Requirements
Applicants must have a Bachelorโs Degree in Civil Engineering and be registered with the Engineering Council of Namibia. At least 8 years of work experience in civil engineering and 4 years in a leadership role are needed. A driverโs licence is required. Finishing a Management Development Programme will be an added advantage. Shortlisted candidates will do a psychometric test.
Salary and Benefits
The salary is N$627,300 per year plus a car, cellphone, and fuel allowance. Housing benefits cover 40% of basic salary on bond or 20% on rent. The Municipality also offers medical aid, pension, and a 13th cheque.
